We’re excited to be part of the recently announced POPs Ball @ the Hiro Ballroom!

In both a nod to the legendary Mardi Gras party MOMs Ball in New Orleans, which always featured the recently parted Radiators, and an homage to Louis Armstrong who was lovingly nicknamed “Pops”; CEG & Nolafunk.com introduce the first annual POPs Ball.

It was only fitting to have Radiators front-man Dave Malone (guitar, vocals) be a part of the inaugural POPs Ball party, joining Anders Osborne and his band which features Carl Dufrene and Eric Bolivar. “Big Sam” Williams (trombone, vocals) of Big Sam’s Funky Nation and John “Papa” Gros (B3, vocals) of Papa Grows Funk will join the band too, as will DJ Logic, a frequent traveler to and performer in the Crescent City.

The Outer Borough Brass Band, a collective of musicians delivering funk, traditional jazz and New Orleans second line grooves to the boroughs of NYC, will open the show.

While POPs Ball is nearly a half a year from Mardi Gras, fans can expect the vibe of a Mardi Gras party.
